Dear TeamAM,

Thank you so much for your generosity to Sap Football Club, Antigua. Sap FC are based in a village in Antigua called Bolans. The team plays in the ABFA Premier League, currently they're in second place. Despite their success, they play with very limited and tired equipment. Their only form of sponsorship is a local hotel called Sugar ridge who supplies their match day kit. The government pays for the lighting at the training ground which is nothing more than a bumpy field, part grass and part mud.

The team have a good following, everyone from the village is invited to play and as a result the team are locals. It's a perfect example of a community team. Some of the team have played internationally and this has been their only chance to go abroad as they're relatively poor.

When I visited, I was invited to play and they showed me great kindness. Of course I noticed the lack of equipment and instantly made a decision to source them some footballs which, as you know, are fundamental to the game. In due course I would also like to source them some cones and bibs so they can practice a variety of training drills. Possibly a basic stopwatch could also be useful. I have attached some photos of the team at their training ground with the footballs.
